The last update seems to have eliminated most of the server lag. Though I have still seen a slow down in server FPS and am starting to experience light lagging. I was wondering what people's thoughts were on server wipes.
I personally enjoy a fresh start every once in a while. I would like to see a structured wipe system that happens on a scheduled bases I am thinking once every two or three weeks. It'll get the game content fresh and the server fresh also.
I would like to know your thoughts on this topic.

seems like a good idea but a couple weeks notice would be good if you decide to do that, so nobody starts any big in game projects just for it to be wiped

As you stated "It'll get the game content fresh" I feel the same due to the fact Reign Of Kings being very bare and the wipes would allow us to be entertained and keep us playing as a community while the game develops. The game I find becomes bland after about two weeks.

with the current broken siege mechanics from the last update, I don't see an issue with semi-frequent wipes. blocks are stronger, so you don't need to use as many to get a solid base, and siege is weaker, making blocks even stronger. it's pretty much builders paradise.
anyone can build a decent enough base in a relatively short amount of time, and with sleeper killing/raiding against the rules, they shouldn't need to be heavily fortified in order to be safe for the first night. so it makes wipes less of a grind to get your base up ASAP.

Well with last night's wipe, and the dev's proclimation to update every two to three weeks, I am not sure how well scheduled wipes will work. It would be nice if the dev's would give us an estimate for each update, but that would be asking alot. So for now I think we will only wipe with updates and when the server gets to laggy. It would suck to wipe a day or two before an update and have to wipe again.
As the game progresses we will reevaluate this policy.
